La Vida Cocha
This blog serves as an outlet for updates and analysis on The Plurinational State of Bolivia, as seen and understood by one American spending a year there with admittedly limited background knowledge on the country’s history or people. My posts will focus on politics, economics and sociology, with particular attention paid to Bolivia’s natural resources and the country’s evolving relationship to neighboring states, the United States and the world economy more broadly.
The majority of my time will be spent in Cochabamba, Bolivia, a city of nearly a million people located in the center of the country. See Background on Bolivia for more information.
About Me
My name is Nate Loewentheil. I hail proudly from Baltimore, MD, the greatest city in America. After graduating from Yale University in the spring of 2007, I had the honor of serving for two years as the Executive Director of the Roosevelt Campus Network, a national student political organization. I moved to Cochabamba, Bolivia in October 2009 to spend a year living, working and learning.
A very good and humorous episode I enjoyed it very much. Is the outline style typical of all blogs, your blogs or a one time experiment. I ask for ultimately these blogs will all be joined as a chronological stream and the story’s flow seems a bit blunted by this form, although I may well be in the vocal minority on this opinion.
I think the format is professional and the story worthy of laughter for years to come but I can not give maximum style points
much love
